Newcastle University Russia Scholarships in UK, 2016-2017

Newcastle University is now accepting applications for Russia scholarships in 2016-17 academic year. The scholarships are available for postgraduate master’s degree programmes.
Newcastle University’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.
The university is governed by a number of statutory bodies. The Executive Board comprises the senior management team that has oversight of the day-to-day running of the university.
In order to apply for this scholarship applicants must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia or RwandaApplicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. Applicants will need to provide a recognized English language test or qualification. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.
Course Level: These awards are available for high achieving students applying for entry onto any postgraduate master’s degree programmes at Newcastle University.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the university, all offering a diverse range of courses.
Scholarship Award: The scholarship will comprise £2,500 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Eligibility: In order to apply for one of these scholarships applicants must satisfy all of the following conditions:
-applicants must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Russia
-applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship
-applicants must have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes
-applicants must intend to register to start their studies during the 2016-17 academic year
-applicants must be a self-funded student and not be in receipt of any other centrally awarded Newcastle University scholarship
Nationality: Students of Russia are particularly encouraged to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: In order to apply for this scholarship, applicant must hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship.
Test Requirement: Not Known
English Language Requirements: Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. Applicants will need to provide a recognized English language test or qualification. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.
Supporting Material: When applicants submit their application, they should include copies of certificates or transcripts to confirm their degree or highest qualification. If any of their documents are in another language, they will need to supply certified English language translations. If applicants are from outside the EU, they will also need to include a copy of the personal details page from their passport.
How to Apply: The mode of applying is electronically.  Country managers will award on the basis of best qualified students and content of personal statement. Please note that NU Russia Scholarship applications cannot be considered for candidates unless they have already applied for and been offered a place to study at the university.
