School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences Indian Scholarship in Australia, 2017

The University of Queensland is inviting applications for The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences Indian Scholarship. The scholarship is available for students from India studying postgraduate coursework program.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward students from India studying postgraduate coursework programs administered by the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland.
The University of Queensland (UQ) is internationally renowned for its highly awarded teaching staff, world-class facilities, and superior campus environment. It is ranked inside the world’s top 50 universities according to the QS World University Rankings 2015.
Applicants must have achieved a GPA (or overseas equivalent) of 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in India.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate coursework program at the University of Queensland.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the courses offered by the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland.
Number of Awards: The Senate may award up to 4 scholarships each year on the recommendation of the Head. One of every two scholarships shall be awarded to a student eligible to enrol in the Master of Biotechnology (16 unit or 24 unit) program.
Scholarship Award: The value of the scholarship is 50% of the tuition fees payable for the minimum number of units required to complete the program by the student who is awarded the scholarship, for each semester for which it is held.

Eligibility: An applicant is eligible for the scholarship if the applicant –
  • Submits an application to the Head, by the closing date for applications; and
  • Is a citizen of India; and
  • Achieved a GPA (or overseas equivalent) of 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in India; and
  • Is able to commence as an international student in Australia on a student visa.
Nationality: Students from India can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have achieved a GPA (or overseas equivalent) of 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in India.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: Applicants must have at least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test.
How to Apply: For applications for first semester (March) enrolment, the closing date is 31 October each year.

Canadian Government Scholarships for International Students, 2018

The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada’s ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and/or humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health.
Up to 167 scholarships are awarded annually;
A total of up to 500 scholarships are active at any time.

$50,000 per year

3 years (non-renewable)
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Ph.D. level at Canadian universities.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided to study any one of the courses offered by the Canadian universities.
Scholarship Award: Each Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year.
Scholarship can be taken in Canada
Eligibility: Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada and foreign citizens are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier CGS.
To be considered for a Vanier CGS, you must:
  • be nominated by only one Canadian institution, which must have received a Vanier CGS quota;
  • be pursuing your first doctoral degree (including joint undergraduate/graduate research program such as: MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, JD/PhD – if it has a demonstrated and significant research component). Note that only the PhD portion of a combined degree is eligible for funding;
  • intend to pursue, in the summer semester or the academic year following the announcement of results, full-time doctoral (or a joint graduate program such as: MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, JD/PhD) studies and research at the nominating institution; Note that only the PhD portion of a combined degree is eligible for funding;
  • not have completed more than 20 months of doctoral studies as of May 1, 2018 (see calculating months of doctoral studies below);
  • have achieved a first-class average, as determined by your institution, in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent. Candidates are encouraged to contact the institution for its definition of a first-class average, and
  • must not hold, or have held, a doctoral-level scholarship or fellowship from CIHR, NSERC or SSHRC to undertake or complete a doctoral degree.

SIA Youth Scholarship for Indian Students in Singapore, 2018

Ministry of Education offers SIA Youth Scholarship for Indian students for Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges. The scholarship will be awarded for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.
The Scholarship is for 2 years of Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) formulates and implements education policies on education structure, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
Applicants must have completed Standard 10 in the Year 2016.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges.
Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded for General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.
Scholarship Award: It includes
  • Annual allowance of S$2,400 with hostel accommodation
  • Settling-in allowance of S$500 (once only)
  • Return economy class air passage
  • Coverage of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)
  • Coverage of GCE ‘A’ Level examination fees (once only)
  • Subsidized medical benefits and accident insurance cover

Swansea University Developing Futures Scholarships in UK, 2017-2018

Swansea University is awarding scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available to study full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the School of Management in September 2017.
The aim of the Swansea University scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able international students.
Swansea University is a research-led university that has been making a difference since 1920. SWELT is the official English language test for international students wishing to study at Swansea University. Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded at the School of Management.

Murdoch International Postgraduate Studentship (MIPS) in Australia, 2018

Murdoch University is awarding Murdoch International Postgraduate Studentships (MIPS). These studentships are available to undertake the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Education (EdD) in areas in which the University has specialised research strengths.
The aim of the scholarship is to explore education at an advanced level in student’s choice of the study area as they work to achieve a professional doctorate degree.
Murdoch University is internationally recognised as a research-led institution with a flexible approach to learning.
Applicants require minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band below 6.0.
Course Level: Studentships are available to undertake the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Education (EdD) at Murdoch University.
Study Subject(s): Studentships are awarded in areas in which the University has specialised research strengths.
Scholarship Award: Murdoch University provides the successful applicant with a living allowance of AU$25,849 per annum (2018 rate) as well as a tuition fee sponsorship and health insurance premiums. The health insurance covers the student and their spouse and dependents (if any) for the period of the MIPS. Under the MIPS conditions travel and relocation costs are the responsibility of the applicant, however, Murdoch University provides the MIPS recipients with a (partial) allowance for relocation and airfares (based on receipts). Murdoch students also have access to a conference travel allowance once during the course of their degree, maintenance funding set by the Schools and a thesis production allowance.

Eligibility: Applications are invited from suitably qualified international students for scholarships to undertake the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Education (EdD) at Murdoch University in areas in which the University has specialised research strengths.
Nationality: International Students can apply for this postgraduate studentship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicant must have a Bachelor Degree with at least a 2A Honours (AQF level 8).
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement: Applicants require minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band below 6.0.
How to Apply: Applications should be submitted online. All international applicants must provide written references from two academic referees. These may be sent together with your application form, or you may arrange for your referees to send them directly to Murdoch International. Referees should preferably be senior academics familiar with your most recent work, and in a position to comment on your future potential for research and contribution to the field of knowledge. It is your responsibility to ensure that your referees submit their references by the due date in September. Your application may be significantly disadvantaged without these reports.
