The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward students from India studying postgraduate coursework programs administered by the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland.

Number of Awards: The Senate may award up to 4 scholarships each year on the recommendation of the Head. One of every two scholarships shall be awarded to a student eligible to enrol in the Master of Biotechnology (16 unit or 24 unit) program.

Scholarship Award: The value of the scholarship is 50% of the tuition fees payable for the minimum number of units required to complete the program by the student who is awarded the scholarship, for each semester for which it is held.

Eligibility: An applicant is eligible for the scholarship if the applicant –

• Submits an application to the Head, by the closing date for applications; and
• Is a citizen of India; and
• Achieved a GPA (or overseas equivalent) of 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in India; and
• Is able to commence as an international student in Australia on a student visa.

The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada’s ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. • be pursuing your first doctoral degree (including joint undergraduate/graduate research program such as: MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, JD/PhD – if it has a demonstrated and significant research component). Note that only the PhD portion of a combined degree is eligible for funding;

Ministry of Education offers SIA Youth Scholarship for Indian students for Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges. The scholarship will be awarded for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

Murdoch International Postgraduate Studentship (MIPS) in Australia, 2018

Murdoch University is awarding Murdoch International Postgraduate Studentships (MIPS). These studentships are available to undertake the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Education (EdD) in areas in which the University has specialised research strengths.

The aim of the scholarship is to explore education at an advanced level in student’s choice of the study area as they work to achieve a professional doctorate degree.

Murdoch University is internationally recognised as a research-led institution with a flexible approach to learning.

Applicants require minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band below 6.0.

Course Level: Studentships are available to undertake the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Education (EdD) at Murdoch University.

Study Subject(s): Studentships are awarded in areas in which the University has specialised research strengths.

Scholarship Award: Murdoch University provides the successful applicant with a living allowance of AU$25,849 per annum (2018 rate) as well as a tuition fee sponsorship and health insurance premiums. The health insurance covers the student and their spouse and dependents (if any) for the period of the MIPS. Under the MIPS conditions travel and relocation costs are the responsibility of the applicant, however, Murdoch University provides the MIPS recipients with a (partial) allowance for relocation and airfares (based on receipts).
