King’s India Scholarships for MPhil/PhD Research Degree Program in UK, 2016

King’s College London is offering, ‘King’s India Scholarships’ in 2016-2017. Scholarships are available for full time MPhil/PhD degree progammes.
The aim of the King’s India Scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from India.
The objective of King’s College London is to manage the student life cycle from admission to graduation to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative process.

College Admission Requirement 
Entrance Requirement: Applications for joint PhD programmes must be approved by both King’s College London and the University of Hong Kong before a formal offer can be made. As such, the process may take longer than for a single PhD programme. Students are able to apply for the scholarship whilst their application is being considered in order to meet the set deadline.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: If your first language is not English you must be able to provide recent evidence that your spoken and written command of the English language is adequate for the programmes for which you have applied. The level of English language you are required to demonstrate is dependent upon the programme for which you have applied. The level of English required for each programme is denoted by a five-band system, each band corresponds to a level of English language competence.
Supporting Material: A complete admissions application, including all necessary supporting documentation such as transcripts, references and English test results (if applicable).
How to Apply: In order to be considered for an award, candidates must:
-First, apply to King’s College London for a research degree programme using the online admissions application
2)Submit an online international student PGR funding application form to the Graduate School by the funding deadline of 16:00 GMT, 29 January 2016. Note that this should only be done after you have applied for admissions.

Raman Research Institute Pancharatnam Fellowships in India, 2016

Raman Research Institute (RRI) is accepting applications for Pancharatnam Fellowships. The fellowship is available for young researchers from India to pursue PhD programme.
Raman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier research institution for advanced research. Applications are invited from motivated and qualified students for admission to the PhD programme 2016.
These fellowships are for three years and is usually offered to applicants who have completed at least one postdoctoral period after their doctorate.

Provisions are made for accommodation and partial assistance with relocation.

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission in Physics must have MSc degree in Physics/ Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent or first class B.E./B.Tech degree in Engineering. Students who expect to complete their final degree in the academic year 2015-2016 may also apply, provided they can produce their final score card at the time of admission. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per norms.
Nationality: Indian applicants are eligible to apply for this PhD scholarship.
College Admission Requirement: This fellowship is for three years and is usually offered to applicants who have completed at least one postdoctoral period after their doctorate.
Supporting Material: Interested candidates should submit their (a) Curriculum Vitae, (b) List of Publications, (c) A resume detailing their previous research and other academic activities, and (d) A statement outlining their anticipated research activities while at the Raman Institute. In the case of Pancharatnam Fellows, the selection would be substantially weighted by their research proposal for the work that they aim to do at RRI.
How to Apply: All candidates need to apply for admissions at RRI. Students can apply online. For those who have difficulty in applying online, hard copy of the application forms can be requested from the admissions office, by sending a self-addressed envelope (25 x 20 cm).

2016 Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) University Scholarships, New Zealand


The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is pleased to offer two university scholarships each year full time study over the academic year (February to November). The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) University Scholarships are offered every year for students who are entering their honours, master’s or final year of PhD study at a New Zealand University.
The aim of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from any nationality.
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is the country’s central bank which promotes a sound and dynamic monetary and financial system.
To be eligible applicants must be studying full time at a New Zealand University and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded to students who are majoring in Economics, Finance or Banking.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for students who are entering their honours, master’s or final year of PhD study at a New Zealand University.
Eligibility: To be eligible applicants must be studying full time at a New Zealand University and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Students must have attained at least a B+ average and be studying full time over the academic year (February to November).
Scholarship Open for International Students:Reserve Bank of New Zealand Domestic and International students who are legally entitled to work in New Zealand can apply for these university scholarships.
What does it cover? The value of each scholarship will be $10,000. In addition to the $10,000, an offer of employment is provided at the completion of their qualification. It is important to note that a condition of receipt of the scholarship is that you must accept the position with the Reserve Bank and must remain in that position for a specified period of time. Should this condition not be met you will be required to repay the sum of the scholarship payments made to you. The scholarship is valued at $1,500 in the first year, increased to $2,500 in the second year and $3,500 in the final year of study. The successful applicant will be paired with a Reserve Bank staff member who will act as a mentor. The mentor will make contact regularly during the scholarship programme and can assist with research, advice and provide applicant with access to some of resources at the Bank.
