India Scholarships for Masters Students at University of Sussex in UK, 2016-2017



University of Sussex is pleased to offer scholarships for Indian students. These scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught masters degree programme in September 2016.
This scholarship aims to assist high achieving and highly motivated international research scholars at University of Sussex.
The University of Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution near Brighton, in the south of England. Its goal is to deliver teaching and learning programmes that are informed by current research, are attractive to students from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and which deliver skills for life.
Normally at least an upper second-class (or, in some subjects, a lower second-class) undergraduate honours degree or other professional qualification or experience of equivalent standing is required. In terms of IELTS, the standard requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each section.
Course Level: The scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught Masters degree courses at the University of Sussex (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) excluding the following courses: Postgraduate diplomas, Graduate Entry LLB, Common Professional Examination (CPE)/Graduate Diploma in Law, Graduate Diploma in Economics, Masters degrees in Social Work, Social Work post qualifying Masters degrees, PGCE courses and schools direct teaching courses, MSc Automotive Engineering, Master of Education (two years part-time), MA degrees in IDS apart from the MA Gender and Development and Pre-Masters degrees and diplomas taught.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
Scholarship Award: Scholarship has a value of £3,000.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for a scholarship applicants must be a national of India, be a self-financing student and have accepted an offer of a full-time place on a Masters course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2016. Applicants must meet the published academic requirements for their chosen course If their offer of a place is conditional applicants will need to meet the conditions of their offer before they are admitted to the University and awarded the scholarship.
The scholarships relate to all full-time taught Masters degree courses at the University of Sussex (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) excluding the following courses:
-Postgraduate diplomas
-Graduate Entry LLB
-Common Professional Examination (CPE)/Graduate Diploma in Law
-Graduate Diploma in Economics
-Masters degrees in Social Work
-Social Work post qualifying Masters degrees
-PGCE courses and schools direct teaching courses
-MSc Automotive Engineering
-Master of Education (two years part-time)
-MA degrees in IDS apart from the MA Gender and Development
-Pre-Masters degrees and diplomas taught at partner colleges which are validated by Sussex.
The scholarship is available only to self-financing students. If their tuition fees are funded by an external funding body applicants will not be eligible to receive the scholarship.
The scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship funded by the University of Sussex. If applicants have been offered any other Sussex scholarship and wish to accept this award, they will need to decline the other scholarship or vice versa.
Nationality: Students of India can apply for the scholarship.

-Transcripts (final transcript if it is available or transcript of their grades so far)

-At least 2 academic references (or provide the contact details for their referees and the University will email them)
-Resume/CV (recommended)
