International Scholarships Scheme at University of Bath in UK, 2016-2017

Rotary Peace Fellowships for International Students, 2017-2018

The Rotary Foundation is offering 100 fully funded academic fellowships for world-wide students. Two types of peace fellowships are available i.e. master and professional development certificate fellowships.
The fellowship is intended for individuals who have chosen a career related to international relations, peace, and conflict resolution; who have work experience in these areas and who have a commitment to community or international humanitarian service and to working for peace. Applicants should consider these objectives carefully before applying.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier academic scholarship of The Rotary Foundation, supporting Rotary’s mission to empower, educate, and increase the capacity of peacebuilders through rigorous academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities. Through this experience, Rotary Peace Fellows build the skills needed to become leaders and catalysts for peace and conflict resolution both in their communities and around the globe.
International applicants for whom English is not the first language must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) iBT: Score 100 or higher (600 on the paper-based test) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Score 7.0 or higher
Study Subject(s): Fellowships are awarded in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention.
Course Level: Fellows will earn a master degree at Duke University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in USA, International Christian University in Japan, University of Bradford in UK, University of Queensland in Australia and Uppsala University in Sweden or a professional development certificate at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
Eligibility: The Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for professionals with work experience in international relations or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. Fellows are committed to community and international service and the pursuit of peace. Applicants must also meet the following requirements:
-Proficiency in English; proficiency in a second language is strongly recommended
-Strong commitment to international understanding and peace as demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
-Excellent leadership skills
-Master’s degree applicants: minimum three years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, bachelor’s degree
-Certificate applicants: minimum five years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, strong academic background
Nationality: Citizens from around the world are eligible for these Rotary Peace fellowships.

What does it cover? These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.
Notification: Receive notice of selection results in November. If you are chosen for a fellowship, you will receive the name of the Peace Center where you will study.

-Read the entire application before you begin.
-Thoroughly research the curriculum and programs at each of the Rotary Peace Centers.
-Master’s degree applicants: Collect all academic transcripts, test scores, and any other documents required by preferred universities as noted on the fellowship application. All supplementary materials must be in English. Certificate applicants: Academic transcripts or scores are not needed.
-Inform your local Rotary district that you are applying for a peace fellowship, and request an interview. District endorsement is required to complete the application process. TIP: Your local Rotary club can help you connect with your district. Use Club Finder to locate the club nearest you. Club interviews and endorsements are strongly encouraged but not required for applicants who have district support.
-Prior to interviews, fill out the application form, attach the required supplementary materials (test scores, academic or professional recommendations, essays), and submit them to your Rotary district no later than 31 May.
-Complete an interview with district representatives. Districts must submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 1 July.
-Apply for admission to the university where you will study. Being chosen for a fellowship does not mean you have been admitted to the university.

Singapore Global Leaders Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in Australia, 2016

University of Queensland is offering Global Leaders scholarship for students of Singapore. Scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate degree programme at University of Queensland.
The Singapore Global Leaders Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for Singaporean students to learn from UQ experts within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and to build professional experience with mentoring, opportunities to engage with industry and may also include an internship experience.

International Student Scholarship at Australian Catholic University in Australia, 2016

Australian Catholic University is pleased to offer 20 scholarships to international students. Scholarships are awarded to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
There are a range of scholarships on offer for international students to support them financially and cover their tution fees.
Australian Catholic University (ACU) engages the Catholic Intellectual Tradition to bring a distinct perspective to higher education.
For most undergraduate courses, international applicants must have the equivalent of an Australian Year 12 Certificate and Postgraduate courses are for students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or have significant work experience.  Students can provide evidence that they have successfully completed studies where the medium of study was English, or they can provide evidence of their English proficiency.
Course Level: Scholarships are awarded to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the University, all offering a diverse range of courses.
Scholarship Award: The ACU International Student Scholarship is awarded to up to 20 international students each year. The scholarship covers 50% of the cost of a program at ACU. The scholarship rewards students based on academic merit. For this reason, applicant must have achieved at least an average result of 80% in prior studies for their application to be considered. This average can only be calculated from study done in the past two years.

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to commencing International postgraduate and undergraduate students with outstanding academic merit of at least an average result of 80% in prior studies.
-Applicants must not be an Australian permanent resident citizen or New Zealand citizen;
-Applicants must have an offer for a place in an undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD program at ACU;
-Applicants must attend the relevant ACU campus as a full-time student;
-Applicants must not be receiving any other major scholarship or award ;
-Applicants must not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.

NGS Scholarship (NGSS) for International Students in Singapore, 2016

National University of Singapore is offering PhD scholarship for international students. Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme at National University of Singapore.
The NGS Scholarship is awarded to support talented students with an aptitude for innovative, high calibre PhD research.
The NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS) is the home of cutting-edge PhD research at the forefront of science, engineering, and related aspects of medicine at NUS.
Applicants must have at least 2nd Class Upper honours (or equivalent qualifications). Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme at National University of Singapore.
Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded in all subjects available at NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences & Engineering (NGS).
Scholarship Award:  Monthly stipend, up to 4 years of the PhD studies, or up to date of graduation, whichever is earlier, of
-S$3,500 for Singapore Citizens, plus Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions at a rate pegged to the prevailing employer’s contribution rate set by CPF
-S$3,200 for Singapore Permanent Residents
-S$3,000 for International students
Full tuition fee subsidy for 4 years.
Other allowances include: computer allowance, book allowance and conference allowance.
-Student must commit to PhD from the outset, cannot exit with MSc.
