Science Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Strathclyde in UK, 2017

The Faculty of Science at University of Strathclyde is offering a range of scholarships for international students in 2017-2018. These scholarships will be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September/October 2017.
The aim of the scholarship is to recognise academic achievement and to attract the best science students from across the globe.
The Faculty of Science is one of the UK’s leading faculties of science, providing a vibrant, dynamic, supportive and friendly place to study.
The University accepts a number of English language tests as proof of proficiency in English. IELTS is the most widely available, and our current standard requirements are: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5).
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time undergraduate programme at the Faculty of Science.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Computer and information sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and statistics, Physics, Pharmacy and biomedical sciences
Scholarship Award: £2000 scholarships towards course tuition fees are available in each year of study of a full-time undergraduate programme.

Eligibility: To apply for a Science Elite scholarship, candidates must:
  • Be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September/October 2017.
  • Hold an offer of study on a course at the University of Strathclyde
  • Be paying full international fees
  • Some scholarships have restrictions on other funding you can accept. This means that you if you are awarded two Strathclyde scholarships you will have to decide which scholarship to accept.

University of Adelaide Ashok Khurana Scholarship for Indian Students in Australia, 2017

The University of Adelaide offers Ashok Khurana Scholarship for Indian students in Australia. Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time postgraduate studies.
This scholarship has been established by Professor Ashok Khurana to support the post-graduate education of outstanding Indian students who are undertaking full-time post-graduate studies at the University.
The University of Adelaide is ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide. The University of Adelaide is a world-class tertiary education and research institution committed to delivering high quality and distinct learning, teaching and research experiences.
English as a first language is generally sufficient for this purpose. If English is not the first language however, evidence of the following should be supplied completion of tertiary studies at an institution, where English is the medium of instruction and examination, for a period of at least two years in the last five years or one year in the last two years.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time postgraduate studies at the University of Adelaide.
Study Subject: The Scholarship will be open to candidates who will be undertaking a postgraduate coursework program of study, on a full time basis at the University in the areas of:
List of Subjects: Education; Agriculture (including Food Security and Wine); Health Services (including Biotechnology); Clean Technology; Environment (including Urban Planning and Architecture); Aerospace; Resources; and any other programs as agreed by the Donor and the University.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship:
  • The scholarship is only available for international students with Indian citizenship who are commencing a postgraduate coursework program. Students who have already commenced their studies at the University of Adelaide are ineligible to apply.
  • The University reserves the right to vary the award, or not to offer a scholarship if the candidates have not achieved the level of academic achievement to merit the awards.
  •  Candidates who have applied for, or will apply for Australian permanent resident status are ineligible to apply.
Nationality: Students of India can apply for this Ashok Khurana scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: The scholarship is only available for international students with Indian citizenship who are commencing a postgraduate coursework program.
English language Requirements: English as a first language is generally sufficient for this purpose.
If English is not the first language however, evidence of the following should be supplied:
  • Completion of tertiary studies at an institution, where English is the medium of instruction and examination, for a period of at least two years in the last five years or one year in the last two years, or
  • A satisfactory English Language Test as outlined in the information below for International applicants.
Test Requirements: International applicants may submit the results of a suitable English Test which has been undertaken within two years of the date of application. The University accepts the following tests of English Language
  • The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic test
  • The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • The Pearson Test of English (Academic)
  • The Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
How to Apply: The mode of application is online. Applicants have to upload a personal statement (no more than 2 pages) in support of their application which demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities and their ability to significantly enhance India once they have completed their studies.

The University of West London is awarding up to 50 international ambassador scholarships in the UK. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses at the University of West London.
International Ambassador Scholarships recognises and provides financial support for outstanding students who wish to act as ambassadors for the University of West London. Scholarships are intended to recognise and provide financial support for outstanding students who wish to act as ambassadors for the University of West London.

To enter a degree course, applicants must satisfy or expect to meet general requirements for entry. SINGA PhD Awards for International Students in Singapore, 2017

Up to 240 SINGA Awards are given every year to top students from all over the world. Awards are available for pursuing PhD studies either at National University of Singapore (NUS) or Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
They want to encourage more such exchanges, to build friendships and mutual understanding. This is why they are introducing a new Singapore International Graduate Award (or SINGA), for international students to do their PhD training in a multi-disciplinary environment in Singapore. 240 SINGA Awards will be given every year to top students from all over the world.
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS or SUTD. Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs.
International students with a passion for Science and Engineering research, excellent academic qualifications, good reports from academic referees, and fluency in English are encouraged to apply for this award. TOEFL, IELTS and GRE are NOT required. However, applicants may indicate their scores in the online application form if they have already taken any of these tests. If applicants are invited for an interview, the selection panel will assess your command of spoken and written English during the interview. The selection process will not be biased against candidates without GRE, TOEFL or IELTS.
Course Level: Awards are available for pursuing PhD studies either at National University of Singapore (NUS) or Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

Scholarship Award: The award provides financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies. It includes:
  • Full support of tuition fees
  • Stipends – S$2,000 per month (S$24,000 per annum), to be increased to S$2,500 per month (S$30,000 per annum) after passing Qualifying Examinations
  • One-time S$1,000 settling-in allowance
  • One-time airfare grant of S$1,500
Scholarship can be taken in Singapore
Eligibility: To be eligible to apply:
  • Open to all international students
  • Graduates with a passion for research and excellent academic results
  • Good skills in written and spoken English
  • Good reports from academic referees
Nationality: International students can apply for these SINGA Awards.

MBA International Scholarships at Newcastle University in UK, 2017

Newcastle University is offering MBA scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available to outstanding students entering the full-time MBA programme in 2017.
Newcastle University is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery, established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science, founded in 1871.

  • Can demonstrate strong leadership experience, credentials and a positive career trajectory to date (through their application and at interview)
  • Ideally hold the equivalent of a UK 1st Class or 2:1 honours degree and have previously studied at a University with a strong academic reputation and ranking
  • Perform exceptionally at interview across all competency areas
  • Hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0, if their first language is not English. Only candidates that meet the criteria for direct entry onto the MBA programme will be considered.
